MOROCCO IN WINTER: 

WHAT TO VISIT?



It is winter and the first snow has fallen on the High Atlas and other regions in Morocco, many people don't consider Morocco when they think of winter holidays which is a big underrated place that a lot of people will miss if they didn't.

Maybe the rainy season may push some people to their houses through Holidays, but not in Morocco with a country full of faces and beautiful regions visitors will  percent enjoy it more in Winter.

So today dear Travelers i brought for you some of the best destinations to visit while coming to Morocco during the winter season. 

  • Djebel Moussa:


With more than 850 meters in altitude our first destination is Djebel Moussa known for it's wonderful views especially during winter, this beautiful place has many accomodations for your comfort.
the valleys of the Atlas mountains are full of life during this time especially with hikers and sportsmen , like board sports and skiing. 

  • Ifrane:


If you are a calm wave , waterfalls ,trees lover i recommend for you Ifrane. Not only this small city contains a small train that will give you a full tour of it but it also has a huge park to stroll in with you warm coffee in hand.
You can benefit from skiing, or snowboarding, you may explore the largest cedar forest in the world! also fish or use the pedal boat in the lakes of Dayet Aoua.

  • Marrakesh:


Surprising right! Marrakesh is mostly known on Summer but Winter their is actually better than you can imagine. A city that's both mystical, hectic and full of life,you can enjoy the ski resort of Oukaimeden,and meet some monkeys too. Don't miss visiting Ourika valley for a beautiful green view around villages. 

  • Sahara Desert:


Winter is a great time to go trekking in the Sahara Desert, you can be with other travellers that will guide you through the path, or you can try Camel rides at sunrise or sunset and if you can also spend the night in the Sahara since the weather is cozy but a little bit chilly at night. so bring heavy clothes
  • Tangier:


Tangier is the ideal place to stay if you like your cities to have a bit of deep history, you can explore the Caves of Hercules, the Dar el Makhzen museum and also the Cape Spartel. Take this city as a chance to relax and unwind by getting lost around the Medina streets, taking coffee and lunch or a beachy break with Moroccan mint tea
