 EXPECT TO SEE THESE ANIMALS IN MOROCCO: 

Morocco and animals have a long history together , some animals remained living in Morocco , and some of them were last seen in Morocco , through you visit to this beautiful country you may expect to see a lot of animals in the cities or through the roads to another city. 

So here are some animals you may see if you are lucky enough: 

don't forget to check the list when you see some of these animals while travelling. 

• CATS:

In every city in Morocco cats are everywhere, the streets are their home , many of them live in shelters provided by locals , they rest everywhere in crates , cardboard boxes and sometimes eve at the vendors shop on a comfy chair. The surprising thing is that these cats don't bother to play it cool when they see you , but they will approach you as soon as you lock eyes with them , thinking that you may offer them some food or play with them a little. You may find them a lot at the streets , don't worry because the locals try their best to provide food for them or even a little shelter on the streets. 

• CAMELS:

In the Sahara Desert , Camels are very known and seen a lot by locals and even tourists , since The desert has the perfect Weather for them , you may see them a lot in that area. Also you can be offered or even book a Camel ride through the dunes of sand arriving to your camp ad live the experience of an ancient traveller in Morocco.

• BARBARY GROUND SQUIRRELS:

The only species that live in North Africa. These little animals have a habitat in the rocky grounds, so you can find them while travelling to the Atlas mountain or in a small rocky oasis in the Sahara. You can approach them if you want but they get startled easily so you may be careful while walking towards it , or just appreciate this Squirrel from a far. 

• TREE GOATS:

While having your Morocco tour , especially between Agadir and Essaouira you can find the Tree goats, they have this unique names because these goats can stand on the trees and pose for the tourists , some people may find it uncomfortable or think the goats are being obligated to do it but their owners take good care of them and even sometimes you will find them sitting with their goats playing. These animals act freely and happy to be the real show. 

• BARBARY MACAQUE MONKEYS: 

These species is a true interesting animal, not only because they are fun or good at climbing trees but also the males play an atypical role in rearing young. Males Macaque take care of raising all the infants most of the time. You may see them in Azrou or the Atlas mountains, you can take pictures , feed them but make sure to keep you distance. 

• SNAKES:

I don't mean you will find Snakes at your hotel , but when visiting Marrakech especially Jemaa El fnaa , you will find a lot of snake charmers playing their instrument while the snakes follow the rythmes with their head. If you are absolutely fearless you can take pictures with colorful snakes, and you can also pick the size.
