Imilchil  a marriage festival in the Atlas mountains

    Every year during September in the village of Imilchil in the Middle Atlas, young berbers organise a party that lasts for 3 days to celebrate marriage in this festival.

Everyone dresses up, wearing their best attire that's comprised of white djellabas, wool capes and elaborate jewelry. This festival is free to attend and is perfect for couples who are planning to marry or those interested in Amazigh culture.



Tafraoute Almond Blossom Festival

    This beautiful festival is held in the small village of Tafraoute that's to the south of Marrakech and takes place in spring usually in the second week of February when the trees are at at their blossoming peak.

It was traditionally organised for harvest in this Moroccan almonds capital however now travelers can expect celebrations with traditional dance, berber folklore and songs, blossoming trees and delicious local cuisine like the special dish of "Amlu" made by mixing almonds, argan and olive oil. This festival is perfect for travelers who wants to get a sense of local Moroccan culture and hospitality.





Festival of the Roses in Kelaat M'Gouna
